Cancer Treatment And Research
Though a lot of research has been going on in the field of cancer treatment, the solution (i.e. fail-proof cancer treatment) has been evading the researchers till now. It’s not that all the research has been unsuccessful. There have been improvements in cancer treatment techniques that are being used and some new cancer treatment techniques have yielded good results; however, there is nothing like a complete cure for most types of cancer. A lot of effort is also being put into developing cancer diagnosis procedures in order to ensure correct and timely diagnosis of various types of cancer. After all, successful diagnosis is the first step towards cancer treatment.
Therapeutic Remedies is Alternative Cancer Treatment
Alternative cancer treatment is a group of therapeutic remedies used in place of conventional medicine for the purpose of treatment of cancer. Alternative cancer treatments can be very effective. Alternative cancer treatment is a group of therapeutic cancer treatments seek to strengthen the body’s immune system, to enhance the quality of life during recovery, and to nourish and fortify the body through nutritional, homeopathic, or herbal therapies. There are many alternative cancer treatments that can have positive impact on your health.
Treatments
If you begin to research cancer treatments you will find that there is such a great amount of alternative cancer treatments available that are as effective if not more effective than traditional treatment options without the overwhelming cost, and side effects.
The Cancer Coalition (American Cancer Society, National Cancer Institute, FDA, Prominent Hospitals, and of course The Pharmaceutical ‘Godfathers’ want us to depend on them to come up with treatments, so we fund them with millions and millions of dollars, yet still no cure, not even a good treatment
Cancer Treatment Centers
Diagnosis of cancer typically requires obtaining a tissue specimen from the patient by a doctor. A histologic exam of the tissue specimen is performed by a pathologist to determine if cancer is present. If you’re diagnosed with a form of cancer then you certainly want to contact a cancer treatment center through your doctor and obtain the treatment that is right for you. Many of these treatment centers have the ability to offer either or both traditional and holistic treatments. In this manner, the center can treat the cancer and also the patient’s body, spirit and mind. Some of the treatment centers conduct ongoing research where the patients can participate in various clinical trials if they qualify.
Cancer in the U.S. and other developed countries, is generally the cause of approximately 25% of all deaths. In the U.S., the most common type of adult occurring cancers depends on the patient’s gender. The most common cancers occurring in males are: prostate (33%), lung (13%), colorectal (10%), bladder (7%), and cutaneous or leukemia (5%). The most common cancers occurring in females are: breast ((32%), lung (12%), colorectal (11%), endometrial or ovarian (6%), and non-Hodgkin lymphoma or pancreatic (6%).
Cancer research occurs all the time. This help to enable the development of new cancer treatments. Clinical trials by treatment centers of new cancer treatments on patients is performed when warranted. As a result, new treatments on patients with cancer has enabled some patients to live longer where death was usual in the past.
Cancer treatment centers are located in the majority of metropolitan areas. They are easily accessible to most individuals. These centers are typically in affiliation with larger university hospitals. They usually offer new technology to treat different types of cancer. The treatment centers normally provide research treatment options to participating cancer patients in the center’s research studies.
The cancer treatment centers provide professional care and support to the cancer patient. The types of service offered and corresponding fees are different at each treatment center. By doing some research by the patient or patient’s representative, a cancer treatment center can be located that provides traditional and non-traditional treatment as desired by the cancer patient.

Alternative Cancer Treatment Cures
This quick guide on therapies for cancer treatment is to be understood in a purely informative nature. The aim of those who wrote it is not so much to steer the patient to start a therapy rather than another, but to inform him of the existence of possible “different” than the official ones already known.
In this sense, the information, which is the first step towards knowledge, could lead the patient or his family, to think freely and wider, the better chance of cure. Move towards a freedom of choice is a difficult path that can never be separated from knowledge.
We will speak more of the situations with poor prognosis, cases where the disease is advanced and the chances of healing are minimal, because it is assumed that in the most fortunate cases there is less need to reflect and to evaluate the possibility of taking different treatments.
This account can not be considered exhaustive at all about the different therapeutic options existing for the treatment of cancer, but does represent a strong effort of reflection on them.
In this perspective, this report can be considered certainly not an end point, but rather a starting point, a first step towards a brave awareness about this disease and what the patient or his family can “groped” beyond what they already know. In this sense, start to assume a more aware and active behaviour against the disease, could be of great help in precisely those situations with unfavorable prognosis, when despair is that we no longer know what to do.
The sense of impotence is not only devastating for the patient but also for all the people closest to him. So, overnight, they are in a “tunnel” without knowing why they have entered a way without a glimpse of an exit. But sometimes it can happen to feel the need to do something, and then think of alternatives is absolutely necessary, just to keep alive the hope.
In this contribution, rather than provide answers, deliberately trying to create questions, to question the certainties that seem to be acquired, conscious of the fact that the absolute truth on cancer unfortunately has not been found yet. The different therapeutic options to be discussed will not be deliberately treated comprehensively and completely, to leave to each patient or family, the right space for personal investigation. It is only through a series of reflections and subjective evaluations on the different treatment options that each patient will be able to decide their course of treatment.
Types
Alternative cancer treatment centers may offer individualized naturopathic medicine, mind-body medicine, nutritional support, non-denominational spiritual support, massage therapy, meditation, acupressure, acupuncture and counseling support to its patients. Some alternative cancer treatment centers, like the Oasis of Hope, may use more progressive approaches like ozonated stem cell therapy, which sends stem cells to the affected areas to advance the healing processes.
Function
Alternative cancer treatment centers aim to treat the whole person, not just the manifested cancer. According to the New Hope Medical Center, chemotherapy in high doses can devastate the immune system and lead to debilitating fatigue, pneumonia and even death. The function of alternative cancer treatment centers is to allow the cancer patient to choose different alternative cancer treatments that will build up their body’s own abilities to fight the cancer itself.
Potential
According to the Oasis of Hope alternative cancer treatment center, their integrative regulatory therapy, or IRT-Q, approach has yielded better survival rates than were recognized by the National Cancer Institute’s 2007 SEER Survival Monograph. For example, the Oasis IRT-Q three-year breast cancer survivor rate was 75 percent as compared to the 32 percent conventional treatment survival rate.
The best cure for cancer is to use nutritional support, get informed about your choices and then make a commitment to heal.
Cesium
Cesium is an alkaline mineral that easily enters cancer cells and destroys them. Alkaline minerals are able to penetrate the cancer cells and destroy them. Other alkaline minerals that work well with cesium are rubidium and potassium.
Taheebo (Pau d’ Arco)
This herb is not proven to cure cancer, yet South American doctors give it freely to their cancer patients claiming a wide range of results with its use. The FDA says there can be no claim as a cure, but Taheebo is beneficial as an anti-fungal and cancer treatment.
Essiac
Essiac was named by Rene Caisse by reversing her last name. She came upon this remedy through the Canadian Oijbway Indians. The herbs used are burdock root, slippery elm, Indian rhubarb root and sheep sorrel.
Evaluate Alternative Cancer Treatments
Alternative cancer treatments are widely used. Evaluating the effectiveness of these options is important.
Consult www.cancer.gov to find out if the alternative cancer treatment you are considering has been evaluated by the Best Case Series Program. The Best Case Series Program, developed by the National Cancer Institute, is used to rigorously evaluate alternative treatments for therapeutic potential.
Use the “three D’s” approach to evaluating information regarding alternative cancer treatments. The Mayo Clinic recommends evaluating all information using this approach. The first “D” stands for dates: check the date of the information–it may not be recent. The second “D” stands for documentation: check the source in order to distinguish advertising from sound professional information. The third “D” stands for double-check: don’t rely on just one source but find out if the information is supported by other reliable sources.
Chose an alternative medicine provider wisely. If you decide to consult an alternative medicine provider, the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine recommends that you ask your conventional doctor for recommendations, call your local health department to determine if the provider is certified, and ask potential providers questions such as whether they specialize in a particular disease.
Purchase “Evaluating Alternative Cancer Therapies” by Dr. David Hess, cultural/medical anthropologist and Professor of Science and Technology Studies at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The book does not promote particular treatments, but instead presents the information Dr. Hess has gathered from alternative cancer therapy field clinicians, researchers, patient advocacy leaders and journalists about how they evaluate alternative cancer treatment.
